This is my husband Fritz.  He's my best friend too.    We have been married for 22 years!  (We started young!!!)  Besides being my business partner in Bramble and Vine, he can also be found assisting me on Weekend weddings. 

Hello!  I'm Bernadette and this is my family and our golden doodle Stella. 
 We live in Boise, Idaho.

I’m a believer in love and marriage. Not only is it a beautiful thing to capture, but it’s my passion to craft images that represent your story into a permanent memory for you and your future generations to enjoy.  

Whether if you are shy in front of the camera or if you love taking selfies and posting to social media, I can usually tell what type of direction each couple needs. I love helping with posing, but my goal is to help you feel comfortable and relaxed in order for you to shine in real natural moments and capture something beautiful.  

I am a bit of a chameleon in where I can be very detailed oriented for that bride who wants and editorial look, but I can also be laid back for couples who would rather have me focus on capturing real moments in a documentary style. If you love both worlds, then I am your girl!


I’m always excited to book new clients that feel connected to my work. If I’m available on your date, then the next step is chatting over the phone or having a zoom virtual meeting to get to know one another. Our first chat helps me first learn about your story, the details of your wedding, and what’s most important to you on your wedding day.  

Our next meeting is your engagement. I’m a firm believer that we are in each other’s presence before your wedding day and that we are not complete strangers. An engagement session allows us to meet in person, get to know one another, to help you feel comfortable in front of my camera, and help prepare you for my directing style for your wedding day. It’s a bit like a first dance with someone. You will learn my rhythms in guidance and posing and I’ll be gauging what approach works best with your personalities. By the end of your engagement, it’s my goal that we come out more comfortable with one another. 

On your wedding day, I arrive with my assistant and team. During an 8+ hour coverage, I start out photographing details and the Bride and Bridal party getting ready. My second shooter is usually sent to the groom and groomsmen while I stay with the bride during this time. As the day unfolds, my team and I will capture those beautiful details, portraits, and those  meaningful in between moments. Your story matters and it’s my goal too to write you a visual novel from start to finish of your wedding day.   

After curating the best images, you will receive your online gallery 6-8 weeks later depending on the season (more often 2-4 weeks ). If you ordered an album, I will send you a request in your gallery for your favorite images you want included in your wedding album. You get to choose which material you want for your cover (leather, silk, cloth, or velvet) and from there I will design your album. After your final view of the design and approval, your album will be submitted for print. Turn around time is 4-6 weeks after approval.
