Carah had been praying for the right man to walk in her life for a long time, little did she know that all that patience and waiting paid off when she met Everett.  A year later they found themselves planning their wedding date and deciding where to have their engagement session.   They decided to have their session at Hyde Park, followed by a walk on the Boise River.  This Hyde Park Boise Engagement session takes place in such a cute Old town section of Boise surrounded by historical homes and shops with nostalgic charm.  Hyde Park is actually listed as  one of 18 Redfin’s Ultimate Boise Bucket List to visit.  

How They Met

Carah and Everett had been off and on Christian dating apps before they met.  Totally done with dating apps, Carah decided to give it one more try and that’s when she found Everett.  Everett is from Evergreen Colorado and was accepted into  medical school in Idaho.  He moved to Idaho Falls for rest of school.  Carrah at that time was in her home town Twin Falls.  They simply found each other on the app by the location finder.  If Everett hadn’t been going to school in Idaho Falls, they probably never had met.  2 weeks later they went on a date and really hit it off.

With a penchant in planning and organizing with a love for adventure, Everett was starting to look like the right guy.    Eventually, Carah   started to see his character and personality unfold and blend with  hers effortlessly.  Once approved by Carah’s friends and family—Carrah knew Everett was a keeper.

The Proposal

“Everett sneakily proposed to me on Friday 3.3.23, almost 1 year after we first met. He planned for it to happen when we were up at my family’s cabin to celebrate our best friend Dalton’s birthday Everett made up an excuse for why he needed to be at the cabin earlier than I did, so I drove up with my friends—Ismenia and Dalton…

The whole time I was trying to crack them, hoping to get any details I could about when he was going to propose (jokes on me because I was clueless it was happening in less than 30 minutes).

When I burst open the cabin door excitedly to look for him, all I saw were tea light candles everywhere, lighting the way to a hallway lined with photos of us. Our favorite songs were playing in the background while I followed the trail of candles and opened the back porch to see him standing there with the cutest smile. He held me and told me the sweetest things in the world, then got down on one knee to ask me to marry him. Of course, I said yes.  The best part is that he hired a photographer and made sure my parents, sister and brother in law, and best friends were all there to celebrate with us.
